New Leadership
The LC Alano Club Board of Directors would like to announce that Chairman Dan Casey has resigned from his position due to personal considerations. We sincerely thank Dan for his dedication, leadership, and the many accomplishments achieved during his time serving the Club and our recovery community. His service and commitment are deeply appreciated.
In accordance with the Club’s leadership structure, Vice Chairman Greg Forsmann will assume the role of Acting Chairman until the General Membership Meeting in September.
The Board of Directors remains fully committed to supporting the LC Alano Club, serving our members, and continuing to uphold our Mission Statement and the principles that guide our recovery community. We look forward to continuing the important work of providing fellowship, recovery, and service to all who walk through our doors.

The mission of the Lewis Clark Alano Club:
Aid and assist individuals and their families, without compensation, to attain and maintain a complete and lasting sobriety through the promotion of the 12-step model of recovery and philosophy.
Assist its members and prospective members in engaging in sober social activities by providing a safe environment within the facility.
Provide a safe and comfortable facility by which 12-step recovery groups may conduct ongoing 12-step meetings.
Promote a sobriety-based lifestyle for its members and prospective members by planning and providing sober, family oriented activities in a safe, drug and alcohol-free environment.
Seek ongoing feedback and suggestions from its membership that guides and improves the facility and its usage.
Facilitate social interaction and activities that attracts new membership and serves the recovering community of the Lewiston Clarkston Valley.
Welcome to the Lewis Clark Alano Club! We’re a non-profit corporation designed to bring a message of experience, strength and hope to those seeking recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. The Club hosts approximately 35 Alcoholics & Narcotics Anonymous meetings a week, representing 20% of all meetings in the Lewiston Clarkston area. The meetings at the Club have helped thousands of alcoholics and addicts recover over its 40-year history. The Club’s location and accessibility to all have made it a highly effective station in the local recovery community.

The Alano Club also offers newly recovering alcoholics and addicts a place to go to take a break and have a cup of coffee with men and women who understand the program and the process of recovery. We are an incubator for the recovery community. We offer resources for the newcomer as well as the not so new. The stricken come to the Club to find support and learn about a way out from their seemingly hopeless lifestyle. They get to see that recovery has happened to others and that they have a chance to follow a similar path.
Alcoholics Anonymous does not finance or lend its name to any outside organization. The Alano Club is an outside organization, separate and distinct from AA, Al-Anon, or any other 12-Step group. Each meeting held at the Club is conducted as an autonomous group, and each group pays rent to the Club to help pay expenses.
Rent from meetings covers only a small portion of the Club’s expenses. The Club has played a role in the community for nearly 50 years due to the willingness and generosity of volunteers, as well as financial support from the Lewis Clark community.
